Ingredients

To start

  • Ice cream (I recommend vanilla)

  • 1 Peanut Peanut cookie

  • 1 ripe banana (optional, to serve with the sundae)

Maple Chocolate Sauce

  • 270 g water, bring to boil

  • 50 g maple syrup (plus more to taste // or sub stevia to taste)

  • 110 g cocoa powder or cacao powder unsweetened

  • 50 g minced chopped dark chocolate

  • 1 generous pinch flaked sea salt (fleur de sel)

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • Pinch of vanilla bean powder (optional)

Method

  1. Make the maple chocolate sauce. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Place in a squeeze bottle or a jar. Let cool to 26C (room temperature).

  2. While the maple chocolate sauce cools, remove the Peanut Peanut cookie from packaging. Add to a toaster oven at 350F for 5 minutes if it was thawed, or 10 minutes from frozen. Take out and place on plate.

  3. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, drizzle with chocolate sauce. Enjoy!
